I'm good with a lot of characters. And I was good with Hanzo during the nerf patch doesn't mean he was viable, projectile speed buff wasn't needed I agree but your way off in your thinking regarding it.

Tbh I think you're right because after seeing the pre-nerf vid, the hitbox actually wasn't that bad as I thought it was. So maybe I hate Hanzo a little bit less now haha :P

A perfect buff was lower the projectile arc and the movement speed buff plus what they did to projectiles then he would be balanced and viable but now currently on PTR he is op.

The problem with buffing his projectile speed is doing that also buffs the projectile arc. So now u don't have to lead your shots almost at all and they don't fall off hardly. They should have just buffed the arc and left the projectile speed alone.

Wow double post lol guess the first one did go through lol.

Yea but overall I think Blizz is gonna get it right eventually. They are probably working on a solution like the one you suggested as we speak :)

Kek, it's much easier to get really good at a character that was purposefully designed to have car-sized arrows that do high damage. A pro can learn to get headshots with any character, but with Hanzo that goal becomes 10x easier. The reason why you're wrong is that even the decent Hanzo players will get plenty of headshots just because of how Hanzo is designed, not because of skill. Just look at the killcams most of the time... The act of aiming doesn't really happen. In the Seagull vid I posted, you can see that this guy barely even movez his crosshair and occassionally just shoots blindly, yet he's still getting headshots or other elims. There's a reason why Seagull misses most of the scatter arrows but lands a ton of headshots - the former requires precision whereas the other requires that you sort of aim near their head.

sigh.. predicting where people are going to be is also aiming. Also making yourself align with your target is often easier than to actually move your crosshair. Its still aiming lel. Your making it sound like the arrows just fly wherever and you still get headshots

also shooting blindly is usually not actually shooting blindly. You listen to footsteps and predict the enemy. Obviously spamming arrows at chokes is a viable strategy as well but then again pretty much every char with projectiles does that (genji/pharah/tjorn etc)

The fact is that hanzo requires a lot more skill than most of the chars just cause of the way he is designed. Its stupid trying to deny it

1. I doubt your average Hanzo player predicts the flight path. What I said was you just kind of point at the enemy character and whamo, headshot or a ton of body damage.

2. Everyone needs to be aware of footsteps, not just Hanzo lol. This isn't a mechanic that is unique to playing him. So anyone that listens to footsteps can be skillful. But true, plenty of chars are capable of spamming a choke point. Not saying they should, just saying that it happens.

3. I dunno man, Hanzo really isn't that hard to play. You climb some walls, sonic arrow when ya need to, scatter when ya need to, and then just sort of line up an arrow with someone's skull. Oh and pray that your ult isn't dodged. The only difficult thing would be to aim, but Blizz made that a lot easier with the big hitboxes. The reason why he's annoying is because he gets a lot of kills that don't really make sense, ie. where it doesn't seem like he's aiming very much. His bow kills are always like Mei icicles that happen to headshot that one Tracer when she runs around the corner.

Bonus: I understand what you're saying about moving the character around to aim instead of the crosshair, but tbh I attribute the skill that goes into his kills to that nice hitbox his arrows have.

Edit: His lame headshots haven't been happening to me as of late because I learned how to play against him, but still when it happens it's frustrating.

If you must know, I was dc'd from 5 of my placement matches, which fucked my initial placement. Couldn't join back into the placement matches for some reason. It's just a (poorly calculated) number and there's a reason why Blizz is rehauling that too for next season.
