back to symmetra though, i feel she can at least be helpful on attack now. like if theres a bastion or a turret she can project the shield towards it while the team rushes forwards together without getting mowed down. if the team can coordinate anyways.

shes still only useful on defense the only real difference is shes viable in koth now.

I am waging a bet that she will be used on offense as well.

She has 6 turrets she can set up much quicker now. She can push with the team with her shield. And she can set up a shield beacon ultimate.

That shield is useless unless your using it to 1v1 someone as symmetra, any decent team is just gonna hide behind their own shields and wait for it to pass and be on cooldown or step to the side of it, the shield beacon is also useless on offense since you will move past its radius rather quickly and any other ult (from a hero that's not symmetra) could be more effective. Turrets are not an offensive skill they are basically useless on offense except to deter flankers but even then that's what a mcree is for and you could have something else in the symm's slot. I've actually played her on ptr, nothing has changed except she's useful on defense past the first point now, and shes viable on koth.

She will probably be super op in gold and under since people can't aim or coordinate, So maybe in that setting she might be decent on offense.

The shield generator's range is actually pretty ridiculous
You could drop it behind your team before you even go in and it will reach

I still agree she's all defense though

range is ridiculous but still not enough to cover any 2nd point in the game on offense with the shield generator in/near your spawn, which makes her useless on offense by default. It also isn't long enough to cover 80+% of the maps on first point or third point. By the time your nearing the point you lose your shields, which means defense just has to play farther back and wait to engage till you cross that thresh hold, use there own symm shields to counter since they have a defensive symm which actually makes sense to play in your comp and you sacrifice alot less, or sombra ult into the engage. That is ASSUMING they haven't already sent someone to destroy it after a team wipe which would also mean you only get the shields on offense for 1 push you fail that push your generator is gonna get destroyed and you just wasted 2-3 pushes trying to get symm ult and then failing to use it and you lose the game trying an extremely risky and difficult to pull of strat.

Why would you put it near your spawn point...
You can put it behind a wall and let your Tracer/Genji/Sombra get a rechargeable HP bar to harass with

because putting it near the choke or close enough to hit the point its just gonna get destroyed easily. genji/soldier/dva/even sombra are all popular picks right now and all can sprint to it kill it and get back in the fight before you would lose the point, assuming you dont team wipe off a ult combo in which case you wouldnt have needed the shields anyways. I've seen this done in practice on ptr it doesn't work out, and even when it does which isn't often they would have still taken the point with any other hero on their team.

I would like to see Windston get a right-click ability too, though. If that means nerfing something else, but in the net giving him something new, I'm all for it.

I already like winston but. Right click ability would be awesome. He should be able to grab an opponent for 3 Seconds, (harambe/king Kong anyone) then combine it with leap and he would be so disruptive.

Also, I think his gun should do slightly more damage when the reticle is aimed on an opponent. Would be more fun.

mhm, the shield beacon has a huge range and is incredibly good when well placed.

plus she can defend herself vs long range characters while moving forwards now and changes the game vs defending bastions & turrets for the whole team
