If you are truly better than your rating, you will carry yourself out. End of story. People don't hold you back. You may lose some games due to people being so heavy that God couldn't pick them up and carry them, but if you're truly good enough your winrate will be > 50% and you'll carry out.

On a side note if you really are much better then people at your rating you should easily be able to play tracer or genji and shred the other team because people at that rank are full blown potatoes. It's ridiculous how bad you have to be to be that low. The people can barely aim at that low of rank so pick tracer and destroy supports or pick zarya since people that low will probably keep you at 100% charge because they are clueless.
What was your ranking after placements?
this and this pretty much, at 1800 there's a lot of good heroes you can carry with if you are good enough at them, tracer and genji are just bonus because you always kill the supports
if you try to do that and you're dying/unsuccessful it's completely on you and you aren't as good as you think you are, as it's kind of a solo mission you don't rely on your team for all of the time
if you're good enough this should be easy because no one you're vs has much coordination/ability to stick together
bonus tip: stop bawling your eyes out when you lose and focus on yourself only because that's how you get better, watch some tournaments and get an idea of how to play your role/heroes better
pro meta doesn't really apply to 1800 but get a couple good strategies on the go and you'll outplay people in no time
