Learning the game now will give u a jump later on since its a brand new game, alot of people will get this game in a few months and be lost. Mcree doesn't really need stun to kill a tracer or a genji. His left click 1 shots them to the head, right click is guaranteed kill if close at all, the stun is overkill, a flash would work fine, and still allow the possibility of retreat or the chance to fire against other characters.

Why play so risky though
Just use the stun.

i do, im just saying if they changed it, he would still be a good counter vs a tracer or genji. Still a good character period but not be as annoying when playing as any of the other chars vs him. Another idea would be to make it so they cant use there specials like blink when hit with it, so it really makes it a more specific counter to tracer/genji, this plus flash no stun.

he should be able to 1v1 anyone up close i mean thats his purpose, but u should at least have a chance right now if hes 1 life and stuns u and your full its over no matter what your playing which is kinda overkill and why people don't like him. Personally I don't care i like the game exactly how it is and feel its to early in the game to make any changes anyways, this is just what I would do if I had to due to public outcry.

I spent the entire closed beta playing Widowmaker, until Genji came out, and hell, cyborg ninja, why not? So I played some Genji, but other than about 3 games with Torb, that is all I played until the open beta. I learned the maps, and I learned how every hero was played, even if I didn't play every hero, and I also ran up a 2:1 K/D as I was maining a sniper :p. In open Beta I ttok teh time to really learn the other heroes, some of which I did far better as then say, my Genji play. SO nothing wrong about taking time learning the characters and maps before getting serious, just try not to develop bad habits.

Also, Mccree's stun does feel too OP to me, not by itself, but coubled with fan the hammer, it takes out way too many characters way too easily. You can have crappy aim and it still works, because the stun has a pretty large aoe, and it is easy to aim when they are not moving. As others have mentioned, either the stun needs to be removed, or my personal solution would be leave the stun, but change the item/mechanic from an aoe flash bang to stun that has to hit to work. Btw,Ii am amused by those of you that think you can clear a point with high noon. I saw Mccrees do that in closed beta a lot, or try to, but here is the thing, as widowmaker, instead of docking for cover I would just headshot Mccree, and he just wasted his ult. He moves incredibly slowly when he activates it, and it takes a a second or so to lock on, if you are fast as widowmaker, you can aim, and headshot him before he can get a lock on you. It is not even that hard, I did it consistently throughout the beta once I found out I could aim faster than his lock.

When McCree, Pharah, Soldier 76, Reaper ult I usually just press E on D.Va and laugh at them

I hate junkrat for what ever reasons, I feel like the dmg is a bit too high imo.

a good tracer is also a pain but also relatively easy to counter.

a well played genji is also a pain in the ass but cause of the high skill required it doesnt rank up to junkrat

D.Va is my favorite right now
I would love a buff because she does have some super obvious weaknesses.

My other favorite is Soldier 76 and he seems super balanced to me.

Dva feels like the easiest hero to do well with....but at the same time....even if you do well with her you still aren't contributing much to the team.

I think they should raise her skill cap a bit but give her some good buffs for players who can max out her potential. With that being said, I have no idea how to do that.

They can give her human form a small dash (similar to McCree) so she can participate a bit more

They can make her boosters do moderate damage if she rams into people ( I like this one personally )

They can make projectiles in the CENTER of her defense matrix heal her armor back up (you'd actually have to aim it for once)

They can make her able to shoot while her defense matrix is up (able to win close quarters better)

They can allow her to point (WASD) in a direction and have her shoot out of her mech when it dies in that direction (pressing nothing would just be hopping out as normal)
