ofc i can learn things by playing, but i don't sit there and think anything deep
I spent the entire closed beta playing Widowmaker, until Genji came out, and hell, cyborg ninja, why not? So I played some Genji, but other than about 3 games with Torb, that is all I played until the open beta. I learned the maps, and I learned how every hero was played, even if I didn't play every hero, and I also ran up a 2:1 K/D as I was maining a sniper :p. In open Beta I ttok teh time to really learn the other heroes, some of which I did far better as then say, my Genji play. SO nothing wrong about taking time learning the characters and maps before getting serious, just try not to develop bad habits.
Also, Mccree's stun does feel too OP to me, not by itself, but coubled with fan the hammer, it takes out way too many characters way too easily. You can have crappy aim and it still works, because the stun has a pretty large aoe, and it is easy to aim when they are not moving. As others have mentioned, either the stun needs to be removed, or my personal solution would be leave the stun, but change the item/mechanic from an aoe flash bang to stun that has to hit to work. Btw,Ii am amused by those of you that think you can clear a point with high noon. I saw Mccrees do that in closed beta a lot, or try to, but here is the thing, as widowmaker, instead of docking for cover I would just headshot Mccree, and he just wasted his ult. He moves incredibly slowly when he activates it, and it takes a a second or so to lock on, if you are fast as widowmaker, you can aim, and headshot him before he can get a lock on you. It is not even that hard, I did it consistently throughout the beta once I found out I could aim faster than his lock.
