was lucio got golds in elims and objective elims, healing,objective time

team loses easily but I still lose a rank :/

god damn ranked mode is terrible

Just because you lose doesn't mean you played badly.
It's the issue with the ranking system in it's current state - it's supposed to be an indicator of individual skill yet it is solely determined by the team and whether the team wins or loses rather than any individual merits


I think the exp gained / lost should be determined by how well you played relative to your current rank and a team win/loss basically gives a % increase/decrease to that.

I don't think good performances should not be deranked regardless of whether you win or lose
If the opposing team is much better than your team but you're still able to be effective even at a disadvantage I don't see any reason why you should be demoted to make it even harder.

This game isn't like League of Legends where it is ridiculously hard to measure someone's skill through numericals. Damage blocked, healing, etc are all measured and are all actually relevant.

I dont see how deranking only will make it harder though

Also, you cant really just base your performance on the numbers either, you can easily get gold medal in damage done by focusing reinhardts or winstons shield for example

You're being punished for other people's mistakes and therefore being graded even less by your performance
Completely defeating the purpose of "ranked"

Also attacking a Reinhardts shield is what you're supposed to do...
But you can also weight damage to health bars higher

I think you're missing the point. It's a team oriented game but it's a solo queue system, so you should be measured as a solo player.
If there's a 6 man queue, then you should be ranked as a group there.

To be placed in as a solo player and ranked on everyone else's performance... you're not really being "ranked."

ranked is so fucked right now rofl, although its a little bit better now that they fixed the koth maps, my placements sucked, its w/e though climbed 2 levels yesterday in 3 games will climb more today i'm sure now. You can actually climb now that koth maps are fixed. You cant hard carry in this like csgo type fps's for example you need a somewhat competent team and it doesn't account for that at all.
