I personally feel like just muting them will eventually get you penalized. Yes although you end up not hearing their constant bickering, you end up losing communication with the team and when you end up just muting everyone and doing your own thing, the team tends to report you over the toxic player. I think it's best to just communicate with them while ignoring their harass. Call out, switch to desired roles, and try to win. There's been countless games where I had to just lay down my pride and switch from Hanzo even though I was carrying with him just to get the team to work together. We ended up winning by the team carrying and not me because they finally stopped talking about the hanzo pick and started to focus.
Yeh see if Blizz overreaches and penalizes a player for enjoying the game and doing their own thing, then that's pretty sad.
But Blizz is *REALLY* trying hard to cater to the e-games community now.
The fact that the International Olympic Comity or whatever is helping organize an e-games every 3 years or something? It's pretty scary.
Maybe 1 in every 100 pro gamers looks like they are healthy in body and mind. It's not a healthy 'sport', but since economics and finance basically says there's the most money to be had by going that route, Blizz will do it. Unfortunately we live in a world that functions based on expansionism in economics...
