I am much better than rank 1800. MUCH better.

I'm killing 2-3 guys at a time, getting objective pushed. But even when I kill 2-3 opponents, the rest of my team dies and doesn't kill a thing.

It's just constant.

Everyone has a range they stay around, even with a loss streak once you get so low your individual performance becomes enough not to carry per say but to give a distinct advantage vs the other team who most likely doesn't have a player like you every time. Then you start winning more than losing until you hit your peak rank and if your lucky slightly above it at that point you typically start to go back down again. Right now I'm playing in the 2800-3200 range anytime i get near 2800 I start a win streak pretty soon after getting there and everytime i get near 3200 i typically start losing more than im winning. That is assuming your not playing with a full stack and of course there are other variables but typically this is true. At 1800 the people are so bad you should be able to dps and while you might not carry every game you should definitely be able to give your team a distinct advantage meaning you will start winning more than you lose, assuming you are as good as you think you are.

If I was to play mcree/hanzo/zarya/reaper at your level I could easily climb out of it sure it would suck, and sure I wouldn't win every game but I would start winning more than I'm losing and be on my way back up again.

Post a video of you playing a couple comp games let us see what you are talking about.

Should record a match. Could probably tell you what you're doing wrong non-mechanically.

Oh I'm sure you could pick me apart pretty good, but you'd at least see what I'm dealing with.

I'll record a match. Good thing I got an R9 380 4GB last December on sale. Was running on a 5770 1GB... wouldn't be able to record a thing, let alone play properly.



My frustrations aren't just in solo ability (aim, reaction time, etc).

My frustrations are with team positioning, choice of action, foresight, grouping, hero choices, ability to lay down cover fire, team timing, etc.

When my team doesn't pick Reinhart on a map that we need Reinhart, I'll usually take him. I'll lay down the shield. Guess who uses the shield? No one. They die in front of it, running past the point they should be at.
When my team doesn't pick a Lucio on a map where we need to knock people off, I grudgingly take him (because he doesn't carry quite as hard). Guess what they do when I press Z and my ult is at 90%? They die before I hit 100%, overextending, and we lose the point.

I'm not a perfect player, but I'm pretty frustrated with the matchmaking. I don't know what rank I should be in, but definitely at or above 2200 (I don't know what each rank is like). I'm often left pulling off strats that only work in a noob bubble (charging in with reinhart, killing 3 players who suck). But if say... 4 of my allies are terrible, and me and 1 other are good, and 3 of my opponents are good and 3 are bad.... then it's like a 2v3. You kill the shit players but it doesn't matter.

I got "carried" by a hanzo the other night he was low plat and literally every other person on the team was diamond+, we asked him to switch since it didn't fit our comp and the map wasn't great for hanzo anyways and he told us he plays hanzo so he can carry. Well at least the worst person on the team is gonna carry us to victory. We won but he literally did nothing didn't see him in the kill feed at all really and he spent the whole game solo ulting nothing at all, most the time while our zarya had an ult she was waiting to use. Tons of players on this game think they are better than they are, sometimes its true most the time it isn't.

I personally feel i could be ranked higher if I got to play my real mains in comp but other people in my group typically play them and when they aren't around, I tend to fill anyways even with randoms since i can play at least 2-3 hero's in each class quite well. 90% of the time i pick 5th in comp so i typically end up on ana or zen lol. I play my mains normally when things seem like they are a lost cause so maybe i can carry, most the time it doesn't work out but sometimes it does.


When it comes to strategy no one plays right, literally no one until you get to master and even then it can be questionable. You never see people engage/disengage when they should, nor do you see people picking comps that work together well purposefully. Half the team will be a pick comp the other half a dive comp, never see more than 2 tank with a ana ever even though the best comp is 3 tanks-2 support-1 dps right now, just doesn't make sense. Still though this is a universal issue and has nothing to do with your personal rating.
