So hear me out here, everyone bragging about having 4000rating or idk, saying the average player is 3000 and shit and that elo represent your individual skill thats all bullshit

atleast thats how i feel after playing those 1v1 matches in arcade for like 3hours straight did probably over 15-20games and i've lost only one .... one lost in 15-20games and my elo is fucking 2300 theres noway the 'average player is 3k and elo mean something'

rofl. either average really is 3k and elo doesnt mean shit or average is below 2k and elo mean something cause wth

now yall going to tell me that my mechanic skills (aim, movement, mindgames) is really good but my gamesense must suck ass in 6v6 gameplay . While that might be true i still feel like losing 1 in 15-20games of 1v1 and not being able to raise my elo quickly in 6v6 is weird o_O

Being able to 1v1 doesn't mean you know anything about 6v6 positioning, counter play, counter picks, etc
Or strategy in this game whatsoever

1v1 you can literally just sit somewhere and shoot the other person when they're looking for you

You can be the most amazing player ever but if you go in trying to make a big play and die they just push 5v6 and you give them a free win

If you get the kills but your team isn't ready the enemy team just respawns. Or if you're a major DPS and you end up dying but the rest of your team doesn't have the damage to win a fight they'll probably still lose 5v4.

well yeh i knew you'd say its the gamesense... but all i can do in solo queues is switch to heroes that fit the team/counters the enemy and make callouts in the best of my knowledge and stick with the team or die on purpose if we're wiping etc... its mostly a coinflip of who will get the worst throwers in his team and all and my individual mechanics can maybe make me win 5-10% more games than i lose but that makes the elo grind so painfull to get to your actual skill rating

i got placed at like 1300elo for some reasons and over 2weeks i went from that to 2250ish playing several hours a day :/ and i still feel like im not at my skill because im still going up

anyways the point of the post was to say that average players really have shitty mechanics or aim or both... just played another 2 of those 1v1s and was completely one sided... and no i dont camp or anything if we get torb or symm etc i dont even use the turrets/sentries and all lol i go straight for the kills lmao

also what do you think the average elo is? some dudes say its 3k+ lolol

idk about 2% but surely top 10% forsure, same goes for dota/csgo etc lol theres like 40-50% casuals then like 20-40% of tryhard suckers

i only played like 200-300games of league of legend before dota 2 beta came out, then i uninstalled that crap game asap tho but i get the idea

Nope. 2%.
Top 10% can have decent mechanical skill but real game sense doesn't even begin to come along until top 2%.

My opinion, anyway.

There is a Phone App that shows you a rating on how your playing heros at ur current ELO

So lets say your 2k Elo and the apps shows a 4k rating, it just means they are playing that Hero better than their current ELO but not 4k rating.
Its kinda hard to explain and the phone app doesn't really tell you.

Just because it shows u at 4k rating doesn't mean its Officially 4k rating on OW.
The app is just telling you are doing better than what others at your Elo are doing.
