Well, I hope something like a turret would be effective when well defended and placed intelligently.

Otherwise, Torbjorn wouldn't be work playing.

shouldnt instant lock ive watched it do a complete 180 to shoot me as pharah when i use my boost and only a small section of my body was visible and instantly BAM shot

plenty of pharah's rape my turrets as turdborn.

I have around 7 hours played with him and ~60% win rate.....only thing that really gets me is smart pharah's/junkrats or a coordinated team with a winston/dva

then again....

that's kinda how it's supposed to be since most heroes have strong counters to them.

the thing about turdbourne is to actually be good with him you have to just set your turret and leave it and play the hero, when your turret dies you make a new one but you don't play on top of it. His gun is actually really strong especially when u ult. You can easily play off the turret on defense if you have a healer to support you and that way you can keep armor up for your team easily.

His gun is absolutely ridiculous
You're right. The best playstyle is to set your turret and go somewhere else.

There are SO many counters to turrets...

I agree, problem is in quickplay most people don't effectively utilize any of them because there is no team work. In competitive he isn't practical really unless they are running a symmetra with him for double buffs which make him viable vs an offensive team with no buffs even with his turret down, and even then after the first point is capped its time to switch chars. I really enjoy playing him though hes alot of fun to play with and sniping peoples heads with his flak gun is incredibly satisfying, same thing with mei.
