Extremely rare perfect items are beautiful. Trading and JSP will be stronger than in any prior Diablo title. Chasing a perfect build is real, then you change your build and you do it again!
People complaining just don't like the endgame content. That's fine, but they're mistakenly complaining about items and trading when that isn't the issue they actually have.
D4 has 1:>6000 drop chance for a perfect rare (4/12 chance to get the correct mods to roll, unless you're talking about an item slot with a skill involved, then it's 4/16 if there are 4 skills in the pool. Roughly 1/20 chance for each of those 4 {1/20*4} mods to be perfect. 1/11 chance, for most classes, for it to be the item slot you want. (4/12)*((1/20)*4)*(1/11)= 1/6060.)
So, say you're a fresh 100 paying for t100 dungeon carries and you're getting about 5 item power 790+ rares per dungeon.. let's say 3 on avg lvl 795 power items.. You need to run 3/6060 to get potentially dank mods in any slots..
Now factor that by another 1/3 if it's boots or legs because you want +2 charges to dash, or potions provide resource..
Factor it by ~1/8 on amulets if one of the mods you want is a passive skill.
By 8 or 9, X2, if you need it to be a class-rare slot with +1-2 of a skill group.
By 5 or 6 on gloves for the right skill.
By 2-3 if you want a specific weapon type since they have different mod chances. (Skip this, just bad math.)
This means that people need to (roughly) do an avg of >9,000 t100 dungeons in order to be perfectly geared.... FOR ONE BUILD. You need several builds readily available if you want to be competitive in this game. So, unless you plan on keeping every good item in your limited Stash, you'll most likely need to re-farm several items any time you do a major rebuild (of which there will be many.)
Oh you can run a mediocre version of any build on day 10 of the game.. no doubt. But if you actually cared about the pvp or tier pushing, that wouldn't be enough for you.
If you cared about the content, you'd already desire a maxed out build.
Good luck doing that in 3-month seasons without using JSP. JSP will be hotter than ever.
Now let's look at aspects.. there were like 25 per class and maybe an average mod range of 10 different rolls (they seemed fairly controlled, and a lot of aspects didn't even have ranges.)
So after about 250 legendaries you should have perfect aspects on all your gear. That's easy... Sounding.. However, when (not if) you upgrade an item, that aspect and previous rare it was attached to is now gone from the trading pool.
You're going to be the one using the first drops on all these things.. so double the necessary grind times. 1/500 legendaries to have the right one someone is buying, per class. 1/18,000 t100 runs to have the right rare that someone is buying, again per class. Skip this, just more bad math.
Enjoy your 20,000 t100 runs in 3months.. lol, it ain't happening, you need to get insanely lucky OR HAVE A LOT OF FG to get fully geared.
And that's per build. Y'all ain't understanding that you'll want to switch between builds for different pvp matchups, different t100s, group play, etc.
The itemization in this game is fantastic.
If you hate the dungeon grind, that's understandable. Just stop saying stupid shit like there's no item chase or trading, lol
Unique items? Maybe every 5 dungeons one drops. These typically have huge mod ranges, like 1% chance for it to be a decent roll. That's 500 t100s for a single unique worth using, let alone perfect. Now realize that it might not be a high item power version of the unique.. That's over 5,000 runs to get the right unique with pretty good rolls... At least 10-15000 to have it with high item power as well. (Unless it's a butcher item, since his have tighter mod rolls because he's rarer.) (more poorly guestimated math)
You want to run a specific build? Too fucking bad, you might need a unique that you'll literally never get good enough version of to make that build worth using over one you have better items for..
Yet items aren't rare enough? There won't be trading? Admit that the endgame CONTENT/GAMEPLAY is the issue, not items or trading
If you were excited about the CONTENT/GAMEPLAY then you'd also love the items and the trading.
I hope Blizz doesn't listen to you guys... The items and trading are perfection. The things to do at endgame are just not inspiring these plebs to seek better gear.
The issue we're actually seeing is there aren't extremely overpowered items in the game so everything feels the same. Luckily I'm a Classic player, since ezpac is fucking dumb, and D4 feels exactly like itemization in Classic where the best items are all rares only. It's 100% the best itemization ever made and you're all complaining about the wrong fucking thing. It's disgusting. Stop it.
Trust me boyzz, the game is going to be fucking incredible as soon as they iron out endgame vibes.
