Just thought that some people might be looking for this so I decided to post it.

What you need

1. Decent PC setup

My set up is i7-9700 CPU @ 3.00GHz
16GB Ram
AMD Radeon RX5600 XT
on Windows 10 x64

This enables me to run both games at 60fps on medium setting.

Loading portal seems to be longer than usual, but couldn't find anymore problems other than this.


if all else fails you could switch to legacy mode on one of them.


2. Two coppies of D2R on your PC



+ 2 Corresponding shortcuts on desktop


3. Two Battle.net Accounts with two D2R purchased.

Unfortunately you can't use two characters from same account



Setup


1. Battle.net Client D2R setting.

- Click the App button on Game settings

- Disable Keep me logged in

- Enable Allow multiple instances of Battle.net




2. Download Process Explorer.

This is a program supported by Microsoft so there shouldn't be any Viruses.
It's Free too


3. Setting up Process Explorer.

- run your first copy of D2R

- run Procexp64.exe on Admin mode
right click, Run as Administrator.

- Click Veiw and tick Show Lower Pane.

- From Processes find D2R.exe and click it.
should be around the bottom if you scroll down or you can search by pressing D key.
you should be able to see a lot of stuff below



- You need to find two things below and close them.
Name may vary but should be relatively similar especially the ending part.
