Professional basketball on television is entertainment. It doesn't help anyone grow as a person. In effect, it does nothing. Instead of watching basketball or any other sport on television, people could be learning a new language or something that could benefit their interest. Nonetheless, not too many people are critical thinkers. And that is why the business of sports is always making money. In fact, there are people who don't really care about the sport and just want to win their bets. They are addicted to gambling. I thought sports was about watching for the sake of competition. But it really has nothing to do with it. The sports' environment is extremely toxic. And gambling is a big part of it. Basketball fans are not the only crazy people out there. In fact, why people call each other "fans"? Isn't "fan" short for fanatic? These people are actually conditioned to think that fanaticism for sports is normal. That it is okay to be a fanatic. That is absolute insanity. It was never about these fans vs those fans. They are all wrong and they are all crazy. To have the notion that it is okay to beat someone up over a basketball game is crazy.
On the other hand, I am very happy that black people are making a lot of money doing something that their great genetics enable them. They are totally unmatched and populate most of the NBA as players. However, I wish that they used their money wisely instead of spending like there is no tomorrow. Unfortunately, many of them are not very educated people and never took a finance course. I don't find this is funny at all. It is very tragic. For people to work so hard and to lose it all.
But what I find hilarious is when non blacks only care about specific black people because they help their team win or make money. They have the notion that it is okay to be racist except when this black person or persons is a celebrity or sports figure. In other words, they compartmentalize their racism. To me, you are a still a racist piece of shit. If you are going to care about black people, then you should care about them as a whole instead of only a few.
