Today around noon I was doing some mf runs with my sorc through worldstone, chaos, meph...the essentials. Nothing notable drops so i start just looking for way-points.

I'm in act 2 and see that xxx number of Soj's have been sold to merchants. This pops up another two times at least. I'm thinking "Yup. The bots are at it. Lucky them. No way a Diablo Clone spawns in my private game." It's happened so many times to me that it doesn't mean much. SOJ's sell, but no d-clone for me.

I start thinking about how cool it would be to go against one, even if it was just to test my smiter although he has already done uber trist multiple times. It's so rare to get a D-clone.....

DIABLO WALKS THE EARTH comes up in the top left of my screen. I begin teleporting all around the lost city in act 2, not really knowing where D-clone could spawn. I clear out everything there. Don't find him.

I go to the stony field where the portal to Tristram is, where we usually find Rakanishu. Instead of our homie Rak we find D-clone.

My sorc is lightning based and merc has infinity (a low one but hey, its an infinity that took a whole hell lot of trading and farming to make.) Unfortunately the merc can't tank well although he has trech and eth andy equipped.

The damage i dealt with spells wasn't much as Diablo would regenerate quickly. I look at the password one last time as well as the game name to re-enter. I do not know if the clone will disappear or not....

I re-enter the game with my smiter. Review of his gear is below after photo.

After walking around stony field i find the portal and and the D-clone is still by it! Yes! I switch to smite, fanatacism aura is already on. This was all done without a merc so no additional aura buff.

D-clone is down in less than 20 seconds. Always thought he'd be more of a challenge but I've geared my smiter well. Pic below of the Unid Anni:

Armor - Eth Prudence Diamond Mail (2262 Def, 30 all res, excellent yet underrated and cheap armor)

Shield - Um'd Upped HoZ (169% ED, 494 def so pretty cheap HOZ but very useful)
Gloves - Dracs
Ring 1 - Dual Leech crafted (5 ml, 2ll, 13 str, 12 life, 67 mana)
Ring 2 - Raven Frost
Belt - String of Ears
Boots - Gores

Now that i have the Anni all of my res are maxed in hell. Even when I equip T-gods the light res is at a whopping 85.

Just wanted to share this with everyone since today was my first ever D-clone spawn. If you sold an SOJ special thanks to you. I've been playing this game for years and only ever found 1 SOJ. Never got an anni until today. It's so odd how i was thinking about d-clone and then all of a sudden *poof* he's walking somewhere in my game after an SOJ sale.

The Anni rolled 16/14/9 so its a mid anni. However I'll take it. Thanks for reading and hopefully you had similar luck today.
