I find a lot of people don't know what a good ring is. underselling OP rings to jerks who can't wait to get their sweaty hands on the ring to quickly resell, or posting CLEARLY garbo rings and asking for a PC.
I am not someone who has been here consistently for as long as some, so someone would knows more can chime in and let me know any adjustments.
Food For Thought:
-I would like to mention, when trying to price a ring, GET INTO THE SHOES of your customer, if someone is building an enigma user, likely they wont need much str, or they definitely need fcr... if they want max block they want dexterity. some dont need str or dex they get that from other stuff
-BK and SOJ give a lot of health and mana respectively (BK + health/lvl -- SOJ MAX mana%) ALSO if you use A CTA then the +1 skills bonus APPLIES TO THE BO, HENCE SOJ and BK also add inherent mana and health each. This and what ISN'T on a SOJ and BK are what to consider when looking for a good ring.
-SOJ and BK are GOOD RINGS. It is hard to find a ring That balances the health loss/mana loss/damage loss from using Soj or BK --- This is a factor as to why good rings are so expensive.
-if your Ring isn't producing health/mana/damage SOJ or BK does, OR doesn't compensate GREATLY for the loss of these stats, THEN IT IS NOT A GOOD RING. No one wants the equivelent of a SOJ or BK.... they want BETTER.
-Some players use specific unique rings anyway, R frost is very common because it gives ridulous amount of AR, and Dexterity which is VERY USEFUL (especially if u have a shield), of course the main reason is the cannot be frozen and sorb. WISP has Light Sorb, Dwarf Star has Fire Sorb, ETC ETC ETC.

Energy is more mana, Having +30 fire res can compensate for the fact it is only one resistance.

STR (everything reqs str xept tyreals armour, rings, and ammies. having nuff str on rings/ammys to equip everythig makes it so when u pick up your body with full invetory you can get all your equip and equip it, ALSO THAT IS HOW YOU GET NAKED GLITCH FYI)
DEX (especially shield users/smite pallys that use a phase blade)
LIFE (How else do you think people have 2k more health than u and same level)
Lifeleech (again this is for PVM because LL doesnt work in PVP)
Manaleech (very important if only source)
MANA ( Some classes are very mana dependadnt)
ALL RES/ single res 20+ (x2) (can never go wrong)
Attack Rating (A MUST if you want to drop the bonuses from Angelics/Rfrost)

Conclusion:
Now that you know what is required, you can price. Before I give my explicit instructions for pricing I suggest you look at other threads with rings that have offers on them and you will begin to understand what I am talking about and understand why someone is paying 1k for a ring with 30 health and only 200 for a ring with 40 life.
D2JSp and Diablo 2 are and always will be a sellers market. Meaning in most situations if you want something you are willing to pay more for it than the next guy. Or on the other side if you have an item and someone REALLY WANTS IT you are (i am at least) more willing to up the price than vs say someone who kinda wants it sort of maybe but looking at other ring right now idk kthx lol
Also remember: Rings are not universal, yes there are many common attributes that many/all classes want... but each class has its unique: Sorc is always dying for str and Mana. Pallies in general dont need much str at all but rly rly need the dex for max bloxk/phase blade. Every single class wants life, because they are automatically losing some from not having the extra Bolvl/health from BK. Druids are selfish and want rings with everything ever on it (druids amirite).
My best suggestion to price rings is read this guide then spend 20 mins searching through 'GG CASTER RINGS HERE" and "rings ft" threads and look at the offers/bins people are putting VERSES the numbers on the attributes for each ring. Of course I am talking about the threads with like 20 -50 rings (yeesterday saw one the guy had 100 rings.. 95 of them were absolute shit, but they were priced so)... Also if you want to know the price of a ring.. PM SOMEONE what the BIN is, or PM them with an offer if they get all 'want offers before bin'.
A standard good ring FCR should cost 200 min (I mean good ring with most/all attributes listed and with good number) and up to 3k... even more if the stars align just right.

The more educated d2jsp users are, the less people get taken advantage of (sorry some ppl who think taking advantage of ignorant people actually makes you any better/smarter than them) and sp is less intimidating. having some inside knowledge on blizz, there has been a recent surge in players playing d2 9not jut because of patch) in east especially there are a lot of people coming back to the game. Lets get em on JSP and take all their good shit before they sell it to charsi cuz some asshole with toilet paper as his avatar pic literally spins a wheel and whatever that lands on is his advice. (you know who I am talking about)
