When I was in high school, I was told to always get good grades because soon after I will be in college, I will be in a “successful” career. My mind was set on becoming a police officer, I wanted to help people. I began realizing who I want to become. Being a police officer wont achieve that. I wanted to change the world and help those around me. To achieve something that great would mean to overcome failures I was yet to succeed in. And so, slowly I got out of the phase of becoming apart of the law. I thought acting would be great because I could give my money to charities or better yet I could create my own charity. Again, I was envisioning my dream on a broader scale. I failed to become a police officer, I failed to become an actor. I’m glad I did, it brought me clarity. I now see what the future holds for me. All it takes is one step.
