(Ian Kilmister, 1945-2015)

I actually found out that Lemmy had died via this forum. His health had not been too good lately, but these things always come as a surprise.
I am 40 years old and have had my share of relatives passing away. Yet in some aspect, his parting hits pretty close to home, possibly because I had lived on a steady diet of Motörhead since '93, and also because to me he was the image of a stick-to-one's-guns way of living, something not always easy to do. Would not come even close to calling him a role model - he would have either hated it or laughed at it, but I do fell a certain healthy envy towards him (quite the oxymoron right there).
Since he would have probably not given a fuck about any eulogy or the soon-to-come tributes and post-mortem recognition (pardon my french, although that is probably the term he would have used ;) ), I will just express my gratitude for having been able to see him perform live, for the music and for the memories.
I am not a religious person, but I do hope there are liquor stores that carry Jack Daniel's wherever he is.
Gracias y hasta siempre
Pablo
