Late night talk shows are all about ratings and it's evolved into a competitive business. I used to be a loyal David Letterman fan, preferred him over Jay Leno, and watched his shows since I can remember but with his recent retirement I'm trying to find something new to watch.
Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and James Corden are all funny and entertaining. I've always liked Jimmy Kimmel since he used to work for the NFL on Fox back in the late '90s and early '00s. He'd probably be the one I watch the most in the future, but I'll give those other guys a look every now and then.
As far as new TV shows on the horizon, I'm looking forward to the new Supergirl series on CBS this fall.
Supergirl - First Lookhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lm46-envrHoI'm still not sure why we can't embed videos on D2jsp blogs (I've been suggesting that change), but there's an official link to a trailer. It's difficult for me to keep up with every episode of every series, partly because I watch so much sports, but Supergirl on CBS is one show I'll definitely watch.
Kara Zor-El, Superman's cousin, will always have a special place in my heart. It should be interesting to see how Melissa Benoist progresses in that role. I thought that Laura Vandervoort played Supergirl pretty flawlessly on Smallville, which was the last major TV show or movie, which featured Supergirl appearances.
The premier date isn't yet known (day and time), other than this fall, but it will likely debut sometime in September.
