we set off from the barbarian homelands
I bolstered my packmule with wargear
We traveled west across the endless mire
Traversing the ground in top gear
I came at long last to the great plains
The blooming cityscape overlooking the horizon
We made camp that night and I dreamed
Of angels and of heaven
The magisters greeted us upon arrival
We held council together in the great hall
Time was short before the invasion and soon
The scourge of hell would dawn upon this citadel
We made plans for war
to strike steel in the forge
the clash of swords in the barracks
the sound of the warhorn awakened us
The women beckonned on the day the sky rained fire
The siege upon our walls was nigh
The fury of battle left us weakened
The blood of martyrs was paid for
But the victory greeted us like a breathe of relief
The demons fled through the portal
The day was ours and the evil
Got more than theyre share of strife
We did feast on this evening and praised the glory of the kingdom
The king was dressed in silks and ribbons
As he cried out with a triumphant roar
The light of god illuminated the room
