1-Why be a bear?
why be a human while you can be a bear as well. : - )
Also bear form add a lot of life, defence and damage. but its not all, bear form also allow you to use bow and crossbow as melee weapons! bear also have different breakpoints table.
2-Did there is a lot of good bear build?
No, a lot of Bear build is crap but some are great, for some bad melee class as sorc and nec it can be useful.
3-What Bear build should I make?
there are a list of some build I personally try on B.Net USEAST. They are ranked from the best to the worst.
1-Beardin
Beardin can deal a lot of light and melee dmg with a decent IAS, he can also clear Uber if you swap a COH or GA on it.
2-Bearchantress
The dmg of Bearchantress are just insane, she can do more than 40k per it with a decent IAS! but she are less thanky than the Beardin
3-BoneBear
BoneBear are cool but not so much thanky and cant deal a lot of dmg... but he is decent with is revive and bone armour. but he is EXPENSIVE, like a lot...
4-FireClaw
The IAS of fireclaw is insane but is dmg most just fire so with all the fire immune in hell its not so viable... : - (
5-Kodiak
I have not pushed my Kodiak so much but with the dmg reduction of hunger I cant even clear chaos in hell...
The Beardin
this guide is my version of the Klaasje123's guide that are vary good ( here is the link : https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=74089965&f=87) : - )
Beardin are actually vary simple and powerful but like all other bear he is expensive.
You will not win any serious PVP with this build its a PVM build.
first of all one of the most important breakpoints is the FHR. here is how much FHR you want.
FHR Frames
0% 13
5% 12
10% 11
16% 10
24% 9
37% 8
54% 7 <-- This is how much FHR you need
86% 6 <-- you can reach this one with some charms if you like but its not really necessary.
152% 5
360% 4
Stats
Strenght: For gear
Dex: For Max Block
Vita: Rest of our stat points
Energy: None
If you want you can put more point into Strenght but I dont think its better than vita if you want to make Ubers.
Skills
20- Resist Light
20- Salvation
20- Fanaticism
20- Holy Shield
1- Vigor
1-Redemption
Rest in Defiance (def bonus) or Blessed Aim (ar bonus). I putted it in Defiance for more def.
you are maxing the synergies of Holly shock because it will work with your dual dream.
Items
Weapon: Grief Phase Blade
Armor: Fortitude in whatever armor you will like : - )
Helm: Dream in anything you like. Try to get high res and 27+ fhr
Shield: Dream in Sacred Targe, in a 45 res base. Try to get high res aswell and 27+ fhr
Amulet: Highlords
Ring 1: Raven frost
Ring 2: Melee ring w/ ar, leech res and stats (a blood crafted ring is what you want. Dual leach is not required because you are independant of mana, highest is the life leach better the ring is for you.)
Gloves: Laying of Hands or dracs for life tap and leach
Belt: String of Ears (upped can be usefull)
Boots: Goreriders
for Ubers i recomend to give him a GA or COH (GA = Guardian angel)
there are a lot of other gear that can be good but this one is the best for the PVM (my opinion).
Merc
Act 2 Might (Nm offensive)
Infinity in Ethereal Elite base
Fortitude armor or Treachery armor (Ethereal preffered)
Andy's '15/30' or Vamp Gaze '15/15' (Crown of thieves can also be ok)
I will add BearChantress, Bone bear in the future but for now its only Beardin.
