I think I'm going to make eggnog today.

LOL, reading the above post, turned in to this, copy + pasted from my post in the culinary section, because this was howmy morning was...


Decided to make some eggnog this morning,
Why?
Because I literally woke up and was like, hmm, I want some eggnog.
after briefly looking at some eggnog recipies on the interwebz
I started to combine eggs, milk, butter, sugar, vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon garnish... at will.

AND NO HEAVY WHIPPING CREAM.

I regret not having that cream in my house to this minute, and the eggnog, was NOT nasty, it just didn't have the body I wanted it to have,
So I started thinking, what can I do with this eggnog lord knows I won't drink...



EGGNOG CUPCAKES!

I went in to that dusty cooking book, and found a simple cake recipie,
substituted eggnog for water, and eggnog for milk

TIS WAS A SUCCESS!



The taste was not overbearing, it was delightful ♥

So then I started thinking... hmmm, frosting, now, I am no pastry artist, I can't even frost a cupcake with out it turning in to a frosting splattered scene in the kitchen

So, I decided to make a cream cheese icing, (half cream cheese frosting, half tradtional icing)

I just started smashing things together, and abusing eggnog and nutmeg,
and several drops of food coloring and powered sugar later...



WAAABAM.

lightly sprinkled with nutmeg.

anyways, mom isn't cooperating with me and the car situation, again.

last time she thought about anything, it took her over 2 years to get me behind her car...
