I have thought about doing that, but I prefer an open background. From my experience and preference, having a background takes away from the depth of the tank. I will be implanting some Java Moss I have growing in a 10 gallon into my 55 gallon though, onto the wood.
And yes, I use red flint in all my tanks.
I don't order online - I prefer to be able to see what I am buying in person because I like to have everything just right.
