Well.... I did. Stayed up all night grinding because I wouldn't be able to play later today, and I did it. Top decked Savage Roar for lethal on my final match. I literally stayed up all night to get lucky.

Here's my season recap for last season:

Areas that still need work:
-Consistency. I made a lot of dumb mistakes that I shouldn't have made because I got careless
-Being comfortable playing other decks. I focused just on one deck to push for Legend, but it may have been easier if I switched my deck up more
-Being lazy. In many games I just would get careless and not think about what cards and plays my opponent is likely to make. I would just see one play and make it without analyzing it.

So of course, after getting Legend, I really couldn't be happier with how the season turned out. Granted, it did take me like three weeks to climb from rank 3 to Legend, but I got there in the end and that's all that really matters to me.

These are going to be my goals for February:
-Get Golden Warrior - 55 wins away
-Get Golden Druid - 41 Wins away
-Get Warlock to level 60
-Get Priest to level 60

The reason I am focusing on Warlock and Priest is just because I anticipate those decks to be very good in the meta. Instead of trying to focus on just one deck, I want to switch it up based on what decks I encounter more. I want to get Golden Druid and Warrior just because I am so close already.

Haven't really been able to play this season. Just some slight grinding here and there as well as some brawls and quests. I was able to finally make this happen though, about 3 months after I planned to.







And then I got this from a brawl. I don't think I'll use it but I won't disenchant it.

Still not playing much this season. I was able to get to rank 5 and save up just over 1,000 gold for when the new expansions comes out. I'm going to try to get rank 3 during the week and push for legend of the weekend, but I'm not going to be too stressed if I don't get it. I was around 65% with Patron Warrior but I had a string of losses and now I'm like 55%. But I'm 75% with Druid this season going from rank 9 to rank 5.

So, not getting Legend this season. Kind of bummed out, it would have been cool to get it every season of 2016. I only really had time to play the last week and a half of the season though, and I was able to get rank 3, which isn't bad. Maybe my new goal can be to get Legend every season in Standard Mode. I know it shouldn't really matter when I get Legend as long as I play well and focus on improving, but I still have the habit of not thinking my moves through at all. It just seems like at rank 4+ my mind goes into autopilot and I can't focus on the game.

I have about 1,600 gold saved up for the new expansion, and I'll probably pre-order 60 packs as well, so hopefully I can start Standard Mode well.

I'd like to mention the decks I was using at the end of last season and talk about their winrates and my thoughts on them.

Druid - I had like 70% winrate into rank 5, then it evened out to around 60%. At rank 3 though it was easily just 50%. There were too many Secret Paladins, Tempo Mages, and Zoolocks for me to want to grind it out. I think maybe adding an Ancient of War would be a good idea.

Zoolock - I went from rank 5 to rank 3 with like 80% winrate, but it just tanked from there. I think it was just my playing though, because I was gettign favorable matchups. I decided to add in 2 Voidcallers because I got into too many situations in the midgame where I had no cards that I wanted to play. I finished the season with like 57% winrate I think.

Patron Warrior - I just didn't like the consistency of this deck. I think I had around 55% winrate. There were too many matchups, like Zoo, Secret Paladin, and Tempo Mage that feel almost unwinnable if you don't get Patrons out by turn 5 or 6. It's still a deck I want to practice more because ti should be favorable against most of the current top decks.

I guess I forgot to mention that I got Golden Druid a few weeks ago. Also, I got over 2,000 gold saved up for the expansion.

I wanted to hit Reno Lock at the beginning of the season and grind that out, but I just was getting matched up with too many Druids and Tempo mages and it was just frustrating. I tried Secret Paladin and did okay but I just find it to be a boring deck.

So I went back to Patron Warrior. I was able to get to rank 9 with about a 75% winrate so I might stick with that for a bit. Like I mentioned before, it is a deck that I would like to practice more. I might also play some Druid so that I'm still practiced with it, and maybe some Zoolock to work towards Golden Warlock.

Haven't been able to play this week because of a busy school schedule, but next week is Spring Break so I'm hoping to get Legend again then.

So quick update.

I've been super busy with school even over spring break. I have a few projects I need to work on and a few exams to study for. So I haven't really played much. But I got 250 Warlock wins and lots of gold saved up.

So here's the plan. I have a project due tomorrow and I have class all day tomorrow. Wednesday I just have a few hours worth of stuff to do. So the plan is to do another (almost) last day of season push for legend on Tuesday night /Wednesday. It's just tradition at this point. I'll probably just use Zoo Lock because it's doing well and I still need golden Warlock. I was able to get 3k gold saved up for the new expansion and hit rank 5. And I got a new computer monitor so now the screenshots are huge. Oh well.
