How is the required level of maps dropped in a maze decided?

Is it a roll between (I) and char level when maze is created? Or
is it a roll between (I) and char level when maze is finished? Or
something else?

its basically identical to an Item rolling.

so.

between 1-Your level you finish at, With a chance to roll higher then your 'offical' level can roll by 1 tier, Sometimes +2 tiers if it rolls double chance, but rare.

Most often between T1-T3 regardless of any other modifiers though :wallbash:

Thanks for the answer, so mathematically it is still favourable to obtain the map as higher character level as possible...?

Problem solved, according to , map dropped is proportional to maze size.

As i said, it's a bit more complicated than that.

For it's also known if you get a map from a level 71 character, make a group, get someone else to join, then mq and do that map from level 1, whilst it's an enormous map, its impossible to get a level 55 map when it's been explored by a level 1-20 character.

in short, the maps maximum tier given is based upon various possible factors:
1. The lowest level at which the map was explored by
2. The level at which the majority of the map was explored by
3. The size of the map/level the map was created.

TL:DR
It's not known precisely what the mechanics are, but trying to cheese the system will generally give you a tier 1 map, although it usually does this anyway
