just kick caster rogues very ofter they are very bad in multiplayer and leech
or play with your guildmates u also have bonus for guild play
and no cry please when u stay with other people u can find bad people

Rogue casters are still able to go melee when their mana runs out.

I'm a rogue caster, in catacombs I use my mana for healing and attack melee. 9/10 games would be screwed by the second/third run without healing services.

Just because we're out of mana doesn't mean we're leeching, so don't make false accusations.

To Inaya, nice little sticky, it made me laugh. happy.gif

I totally agree with that huge text.
Unfortunately i don't have awesome gear so i die after 2 waves, losing more exp actually that gaining in catacombs, so i returned to arena.
But i really hated when i went to low life and died because of nobody healing.

Backseat Drivers. Ever get in a game and see a fighter or a barb in the back row? It chaps my hide. The back row is reserved for Mages and Rogues (who should really be in the middle row, but I am not about splitting hairs) who have no choice but to wear armors with puny defense. They can't wear heavy plate. So the back row is for them, were they can cast in moderate safety. But here come the fighters and barbs, usually with low life (see LowLifers) who are hoping to squeeze out 1 more monster before they absolutely must regen, or to be healed by the mages and rogues. Or they are hoping to last longer by taking less damage and therefore have to spend less time regenning. Or maybe they are just plain cowards worried about their own hides and no one else. They take less damage in the back so they can drop click (see above).

I found a person who matches this 100%

xbongwaterx

DLWestSeas> wtf
DLWestSeas> bong get up front
DLWestSeas> omfg
DLWestSeas> i forgot to switch from regen gear
DLWestSeas> gimme a sec between next wave
xBongwaterx> kiss my ass
DLWestSeas> lol

moves up to middle

xBongwaterx> happy

I switch gear
I move to middle along w/ dickhead2 (thats char name, not an insult)

Rest of the game went good besides everybody leaving at second wave sad.gif

Haha this was a great read. It's a little how you say, wall of text-like, but I really enjoyed it.

Some of these things annoy me too but I see less of it now as opposed to a gross amount of it the first few days. smile.gif

I'm a Caster Rogue and I dominate every game that I play in. I'm pretty sure I carry dozens of people that share this same attitude. Ignorance is bliss, I guess.

Build a character in the way that it can do everything you could need...(Attack, Cast, Heal)...sounds like a great addition to a party? wink.gif

Rogue Casters would be a lot godlier if you could switch items during combat, so after you run out of mana you just put on a nice ee wep with dex armor/charm

But imo casters don't really have a place in MP games, because most can't last past the 2nd-3rd wave

I will share with you what I do at least, that way maybe potential RC's and Casters read this and get a little stronger technique wise.
  • I start Multiplayer at half-level or above, that way I automatically level up in the first few waves and get a free replenish of Life and Mana. This is good if you're trying to go for 6+ waves.
  • I melee the first two waves. With the other people dealing damage + my melee damage, we easily kill the monsters, and none of my Mana is used.
  • I heal myself only. I don't have enough Mana to heal everyone. I keep myself at appropriate health and move up front if other people are losing health in order to keep us going.
  • At 1/3 remaining health for the last monster of a wave, I automatically switch to melee, no matter what.
  • I keep pure STR gear and an EE weapon on my character in case I do run out of Mana, in order to do as much as I can if I have any remaining life and am out of Mana.

There's a lot more, but it's going into a guide (imagine that, me making a guide! laugh.gif but these are just some EASY things to help a party. smile.gif

this all reminds me of a conversation i had with Insanebobb a while back

i mentioned how i had noted that d2jsp players always do well in other games and i often find them high up the rankings wherever they turn their hand

his reply: even the spammiest flaming jsp member is a gamer. the real deal. most people are sheep to be fleeced or farmed (that bit might just of been my thoughts at the time)

what you have at the moment is a new system and people are trying to exploit it to their benefit, that there are wiser ways to do so may eventualy become apparent

i have had only two excursions into multi:

the first i pretty much lvled up a group who had little or no chance of gaining exp or drops alone, i was exp raped ohmy.gif

however... the wiser members of my various teams soon realised the possible benefit having someone like myself about conferred upon their own efforts. not hard to make your char at least usable and they did so admirably. within a few hours we had a decent team which played well with each other, ok i was still missing on what i would do solo but not by a huge margin and it was good fun

then i played alongside Jay a little today, one of my previous team was there and was welcome. had you given us all a few more hours we would of been mfing and making a fortune between us... because we could and are able to figure that out.

i admit i have been fortunate in that the weaker team members were good players just new to the game rather than excitable randoms and slashing alongside Jay is always going to be a good thing, my point merely is it is up to you how you go about making use of multi. a better method of play is better for all players, when this is the case then wiser folk just naturaly join in from their own violition not due to some tirade.

would like to see njag allow me to zap not heal tho... that would soon tidy things up
a few choice words at the right time hurt more than any ee charm though biggrin.gif

one last point, i will engage when i decide to put the tea down not when you say "go" */kicks and engages with 4*

Massive wall of text. I haven't got the patience to read all of your whining. If you have a problem with 2 wave runs, why don't you look around for a run instead of always making one (or vice versa.)

no one said you had to read it. I don't understand these people who feel obligated to read every thread (and then take the time to explain why they couldn't/didn't). where do the find they time to play ladder slasher, trade, or play any other game.
