I've had my fun here. Won't get implemented because someone will do stupid stuff with it.
Still one of your better suggestions
Thanks for the last sentence and reply.
You kinda pushed your fun into history you were not aware of, and I went a little overboard. Sorry for that.
Here is a little insight to Old Hardcore players and their etiquette.
Helping others is a given. This is in the hopes they continue playing and the advice you give them helps them to help others. Even if you carry them in their first MQ, or even up to their third or more.
This just means they get accustomed to how a group plays and hopefully have the gear to solo.
Due to changes in the game, the game got a lot easier, you do NOT need to rely on other people or you can create a group run that is so fast you do NOT want to solo ever again.
The Monsters level up with you as you level up, also, the drops / quality also decline as you go higher in level... basically you can always get Tier III up to Tier IX whites up to Master Quest (mainly level 20 [TierVII] whites), but this does not discourage players.
In Hardcore, we used bridging to bring in players (now we don't, which is nice), but, the higher levels need to wait until the lower levels catch up, so you change the driver, or whistle... but, how many people do this currently? We used to do it all the time before you could adjust the Level range of a group?
Okay... now... because of game changes, having a higher level character in a group killing a monster = 0 or 1 drop per kill vs the level of the driver and monster spawn for more drops.
So many things have changed... so, linking in higher players to make a full group and getting the rest of the players in their level can still be good, as long as they do NOT kill, they can tank in some cases... example: you have 4/5 for a full group at level 1, but, there is a level 25 that is willing to join the group to Master Quest... thus, the level 25 just sits and tanks for 20 levels or 23 before he/she is useful... this was also done over a decade ago.
Work around the small stuff...
