There has been a significant change to muting not listed in the update.


High end mutables and now consistently turning into magical or rare quality essence. I started talking about it privately last week but, with continued testing, ive found there's an obvious and significant change. Multiple dozens of mythical and higher are turning into nearly 80% of magical or rare quality essence. Seems the higher quality it is like epic and higher have a significantly higher fail rate.

I'd like to hear others experience in this. Feel free to discuss but, please keep it about the topic and leave put the spam.

Not just high end….mystical 10 and 15’s are as well. If it stays like this it will greatly lower the value of mystical and higher junk as well imo.

Hey Jake, just did some testing myself with what i had in my vault and i did not have the same problem as you. here were my results

Arcane X - turned into Angelic essence
Arcane X - turned into Arcane essence
Arcane X - Turned into Angelic essence
Angelic X - Turned into Mystical essence
Angelic X - turned into Angelic essence

Legendary VI - turned into Legendary essence
Legendary VI - turned into Legendary essence
Godly III - turned into Mythical essence
Legendary VII - turned into Legendary essence
Legendary VIII - turned into Angelic essence

Will continue to test, but the lowest of these 10 was mystical.

I'll post some of my results later. Talking to Ati, he thought it was just a fluke. The pain continues though.... It's been truly abysmal for me.

I think with enough samples it will come out approximately equal for all #of properties up to and including the number of the item stripped, but “enough samples” may be a larger number than one would expect… I am not a crazy muter like you all but I do watch what comes out and for me it seems like sometimes almost every item comes out above average and sometimes almost every item comes out way below… nothing about the event or ML, but sometimes luck is sick and sometimes it’s brutal on a given hour, day, week…

I can relate to that.

For me, it got to the point where enough was enough. I was contemplating this post for a week and the continued results was the last straw on this camels back.

I'll be posting results on lvl 40+ mythical+ items within a week or so. I'll need to gather enough to do a proper public study

I wonder if cry threads work for muting or only w/ shitty pass rates.

Will be tracking with interest I suppose to see if a big dick mute pops up in the next couple of days.
