Im new to this game, but when going through the catacombs probably 3 out of 10 times my dropped items will just disappear as soon as they are dropped from the monsters? Am i doing something wrong or is this a known bug?

after kill do not open the map, so they dont erase. if you open the map they erase after 1-2 seconds.

I dont do anything im fighting and as soon as they hit the dropped inventory they disappear.

you dont do anything but you fight, so you do something. however. after the wave do not open the map or pressing t for whistle. test it out

I click a monster, it auto fights.

After the monster dies, and drops items, the items are there for less than a second (i dont even have time to mouse over them)

im not clicking anything else at all....

You press the "engage" key, that's why.

If you don't do anything after you killed a monster the items stay forever

Nah, im not hitting anything at all whatsoever... The items go into the dropped item inventory and IMMEDIATELY disappear.

Items only stay for 5 seconds after your click Engage or you whistle for another wave.
Maps that drop at the end of a cata only last 5 seconds regardless of what you do.

My guess is you are hitting engage and don’t realize you're doing it.

Also as items disappear the newer items will shuffle to the left where the old ones were. Perhaps you are mistaking this for the new items disappearing.
