im new here so, sorry if this is not the place to post this, or if this is already answered somewhere over here and can be easily seen etc

i was about to finish a catacomb; missing only a couple of rooms... and i feel through a trap door.

i know what it is, i know that it happens. my question is: is there a way to avoid it? is the third time within a week and always when i am close to finish a catacomb (but today i was the closest)

Certain classes can detect and either decide to go down or avoid trapdoor. If I remember correctly they are:
Rogue
Monk
Ninja

i am playing barbarian, so i am fated to always fall through trapdoors? am i right?

that is correct. you will not have the choice on whether you drop or not.

i see... i think my barb will kill himself if he drops through a trapdoor one more time lol

If the enemies in a trapdoor become too tough, don't risk dying. Just log out and log back in to create a new map

oooh that's a good piece of advice, i actually didnt know that the enemies would become harder... anyway regardless of the difficulty, what frustrates me is the fact that i have to start the catacomb from the very beginning! my OCD cant help it lol

better get use to it, as if theres not a "no trap doors" event, or ur not on a rogue, monk,ninja (these 3 can detect trap doors), if theres 1 in the map anywehre, ur class will fall thru it automatically, making u start map over either way

I started deathfarming on a fighter. Rerolled to rogue for this very reason!
