is there any benefit to going down trapdoors to lvl 2 or 3?

seems like the monsters are just way harder for the same exp...

imo no its not worth it

Harder monsters some people think better drops but for the most part the exp boost it gives only really is seen if you have a Decent amount of exp gain on gear all in my opinion.

Depends on if you pick up the soap or dropped it

had one of my better drops down a TD.
Personally think the longer you take fighting mobs, the better the drops, hence why beginners get the drops so frequently.

Take welling for example, with a level 55 character doing level 20 wells, 4 out of 5 times you'll get 3 or less items. A level 20 character doing level 20 wells will generally get 5+ items.

So yes, i believe it impacts drops, just not how you'd expect it to.

Ain't welling based on your level compared to the welling base aswell?

the benefit being that I get to reroll my catacombs by logging in/out to immediately remove it.

I personally love trapdoor. I enjoy being able to find items a tier or two higher than my current level

Tds are all about preference, I've had great drops in them. In all honesty though I tend to not bother with them.
