Sorry, just a daft questions.. but what is the purpose/goal of playing ladder slasher? Seems like it's merely press T in catabombs and left clicking forever or maybe it's just because I'm new...

Just like putting on socks before putting on shoes... most people just do it, some don't wear socks, and others like myself walk around barefoot. Nobody can really answer your question to how you do or don't do things.

Well you are playing it the way people do to beat the ladder.
When you have no gear and are trying to get good. You should be exploring
You find bosses items objectives maps all types of shit


The groups that press t and whistle are trying to be the first to unlock the next class and eventually reset the ladder.

It's the top goal.
But some people do objectives to do mirror mazes.
Some people death farm.
Some people only explore catacombs
Some people don't explore.

But eventually the goal is to be the best and reset the ladder and have the best items and highest profs.
It's all in what you want out of it

You need to find your MO

I pay per gp and so do a lot of guilds.
So Some ppl speed climb to farm fg that way.
You gotta pick your poison and go with it


Edit: also ladder slasher ranks up guilds as well. So there's even the guild competition as a driving factor
