How do i make it so i dont need to press return :engage" after killing monsters?

You either have to hit engage to move around, or the whistle button.

I set the hotkey to F so it is easier to engage while going thru the maze

Long gone are the days of old. Sorry, but if you want to have a new encounter... you either press T (whistle) or press G to engage and explore.
