would you consider trying hc?

if so there's a fwe of us left that are on daily.. typically solo, but group as we can.. lots of gear up ft if you needed any.. mq gear is hard to come by on hardcore though.. so buying sets is probably the only way..

Id be so scared to lose my gears when I die I never liked HC. Is loot in HC more expensive?

Hardcore gear was more expensive for most of the history of the game because even when there are almost no players, items for sale are always in very short supply there.
Presently softcore gear is more valuable as new players and fg find there way here from D2R.

In Softcore you have an easier time finding a group and will experience faster climbs.
There are buyers for greater variety of wellable white items & mutable/glyphable items in Softcore and they pay more than the few Hardcore buyers than can pay 1fg because they have no competition. (You will make for FG per climb)

the trick with HC is simply to NOT die.. lol.. town and shrine / regen at 50% life is the easiest way.. unless you fish and can build a suitable stack.


the other BIG difference between sc and hc is that on sc (in my observation) its all about speed, and banging out the gp's.. on hc most of the time we take our time and are solo/skilling, as the player base has dwindled. i mean groups still happen, speed climbs in a good group can take maybe an hour.

as for pricing.. for some items; yes pricing is more expensive than sc, but id say for the most part for lower level gear is on par across both cores.


mq daggers, or padded robes are next to impossible to find now on hc as there was an influx of monk RIP's between December and March this year ( my main being one of them) https://forums.d2jsp.org/user.php?c=3&i=955012&p=484707 ... i mean.. yeah i was upset.. i was whistling solos because i was less than 50% of level away from mq.. and got slammed with an objective that spawned 3x stunners. i couldnt town.. i burned through a lot if not all of my comfreys i had equipped.. it happens.. in total it was valued at about a 25-30k+ fg RIP. Some of the other monk rips had far more valuable gear..


if you come to hardcore it is more of an investment, ...it has taken me years to accumulate and build the sets i have.

you need to invest a little bit in some better gear if you intend to do group climbs like the one we just did

it's not reasonable for you to go with no armor til lvl 15 and then use random EE robes in the back row and a random tier 3 dex charm from 1 - MQ

Nah, that’s far from trying. Can easily find much better gear for pennies on the MP.

Nobody minds carrying somebody who puts in the effort but what you’re doing is bullshit imo. Do better

I suggest you seek help if the game is that serious to you.
