Just get to level 101 and win guild points? Or is there more to it than that?

Yup. Just get to level 101

You could do it however it would be painful and take you an incredibly long time. Wouldn’t be worth it.

Typically people only do 101 climbs in a group of 5

Unless things were changed, you can get the bonus points from 101 as many times as you want.

All characters that get to level 101 gain Guild Points, that is the only requirement.

The Event multiplies how many Guild Points you get from it.

It is not seasonal, and personally I wouldn't waste time doing it solo. You maybe able to complete another Master Quest in the same time from your Master Quest level requirement compared to tormenting yourself getting the extra 30 levels (if you are a feeder class).

Join a group that may take you in and that are interested in going to 101 or doing Mirror Maze objective.

going to 101, even as a group is a pain. It just feels like it takes soooo long. If its a 5x 101 event, then its worth it if you want the gps. Otherwise, its not important. Hell i dont even like going to mq on monk/ninja solo personally lol

I would not recommend it if you are trying to maximize GP gain… or if you are playing hardcore… also if you are just whistling there it’s also kind of pointless… but I managed to get at least 30 EPs in between lvl 88 and 101 during this event on my fighter. There was enough potential for me to get really disappointed…

One 3-spawn EP at I think lvl 99 dropped me:

Mystical fine honed leather armor
Level Req: 55
Physical Defense: 16 to 50
Magical Defense: 16 to 67

+27% Enhanced Effect
+155 Max Mana
+12% Damage Return

And a lvl 50 staff with 8 int!!!
