When going and trying to sell an item on LS to someone on here... how do you do it? its been years since i last played.

you click on the marketplace in town and click the sell tab
drop in your item, select price and enter gold password

Agree to meet in game, let the other one know that you put it up on the market place an then he can buy it for the agreed price.

Keep in mind that there will be allways a 5% market fee and for sells for 20fg and above you have to pay the fee upfront

Also make sure that the guy you trade is ready to avoid any snipers

What others have stated.

When in game, you can message them using;
/msg *username Hi? are you there for xxx item / level / mods?

by using the * (asterisk) in front of their username you will be able to know if they are online and also what character name they are using.

Also, if they are not online, you will be informed.

If they are online you can even check their last action in game, they maybe on another window, in another game, maybe checking the forums... so with your first message, and they are online but not replying, you can use their character name:

/who JoeDiggle

This will show length of time in seconds ... last seen 65 secs ago (something to that effect).

EDIT: forgot to add... if they are online and have replied to you, you can just type:

/r oh hey, I am putting item on MP now... Sword, 55 lvl, 102 ee @ 500 fg.
when you have put it up. reply again.
/r up now
