How do you prefer to do your climb? I solo a good majority of the time due to not really ever having anyone to play with and wanted to know your preferred method of climbing

If solo'ing then whistle to lvl 20 or 30, potentially hunting for a well 1-20 as much easier to find at those levels then whistle to 30 on top of a well, then well all my lvl 20/25/30 items.
Explore always for lvl 30+
simple reason that a max ee level 15 sword will get about 500-1000, a max ee level 30 sword would go for something like 5k+
Seeing exploring takes longer to do, might as well maximise my time at efficient levels.

If i wanted to get to MQ asap then i'd group whistle climb. Seeing in general i work towards reset, this is usually my preferred option.

I'm generally not massive on group explore climbs as its only a 1 in 5 chance of getting the drop, which is why i usually solo for drops.


Consider that in group whistle climbs about 1 in every 250 gets a drop worth 1k+
I would suggest about 1 in 15 solo explore climbs would get the same hit rate, if not better.

Truly depends on what im going for. I want to unlock a class (which hasn't worked for me anyway considering I'm 17 fails in a row on monk lol)
But if I want to unlock next class I do 1-71 whistle groups.

If I'm looking to enjoy the game and hunt drops.
I solo.
I find myself soloing more than less lately.

Solo - Explore 30-75

Group - Only whistle unless it’s a g/o or close to it

Explore all lvls and some times down fews trapdoors for more % of drop

Solo ::

I explore basically constantly. Mostly to find muteables for myself or others at low levels. I try to finish small maps on the off chance that I get a map i like, EPs, GPs, some other little mods. I do mostly solo now because of the hours i work, and having to play at work.


Group ::

95% straight whistle to MQ unless theres a good explore event or we do a MM.

Solo: Explore 3 mazes, whistle to 7/10, explore 100% until MQ
Group: Whatever I’m told to do by the bosses, typically whistle/MM

Solo: Explore the whole way. More into soloing these days due to lack of time.
Group: Whistle only. Extremely slim chance anything worth looking at drops, and even if it does, there's a 1/5 chance you get it. Not worth the additional time it adds to the climb.

Edit: Mirror maze runs are obviously the exception.

Depends on the group and what class im on.

But for solo, always explore.
