Hey guys... usually I have the info and am answering the questions, but today I'm stumped. I came across Ambush solo in normal cata on my lvl 65 fighter using longsword and some ML gear and did the whole encounter successfully, but it took way more fish than normal because the mobs were taking very little dmg... we're talking like, 0 to 100 dmg on noncrits and exactly 326 dmg on crits... (none of the mobs were gooacidics or foglimes) yeah that second part was the weirdest part for me. Every red number was exactly 326 on each mob...

And yeah... normal mobs generally take over 1k white and ~3k crits, so 0 to 100 dmg white and 326 dmg crits are... low

Any ideas, info?

if you have caster gears, cast the away, goes easy. had problems with sword fight on them as well. happy new year

I'm okay casting on ambush if needed, but in the past I can't remember doing this little damage to the objective, and I certainly don't remember crits being exactly the same number every time?

yes was surprized too first time, that tooks so long, they had change something with them, meele immune or so. however 15 min with sword and 1-2 min with caster gears as non caster.

Okay well... fair enough about the lowered melee dmg... any idea why all crits would be the same number?

Was Posiaclawn one of the monsters?

Have had similar encounter, not with ambush, but with 3 ep wave. Posiaclawn was one of them.
Highly reduced was my damage output. Do not recall if the crit number was exactly the same, but I'm not saying it wasn't. Happened at least twice that I noticed. Level 64 or 65 3ep wave

why vita so high?

I have no clue but I had the same issue over a year ago.
My thought is, that it have to do with swords in general.

I used a 239ee sword and where hitting 0 all time long. came in with a 8 level lower mule with axes and 3-4 shoted any of em

E/ maybe ambush got like a reversed power shot so you allways hit the minimum range from your weapon

slaughtered ambush on my mage (fire), so casting for them isn't an issue.

Can't say for melee as i never get the quest when i solo melee, lucky to find TP by level 65 most times
