Hey folks,

I was thinking lately, regarding skillings that can be done in LS ...

I know transmuting is highly desirable, but I am thinking also glyphing is cool, suffing is cool to a) extend glyphs duration and maybe (not sure, suff essences in higher +'s). Then fishing and cooking - worthy or better to get just regen gear?

Glyphing for sure is good, suff is mainly good to extend glyphs ...4

What is your opinion on those? Loosing too much time to actually slash if u lvl up all of above?

Regards, Popi

You might luck out in muting. Some do.

I picked fishing and cooking, yeah its nice to have but can find some for sale. Much easier to just buy if you find a seller.

Hey,

transmuting is the easiest skill of all, everyone can do that easy, the only point to earn essences is for suffucening or thats a bit "new" to sell for rerolls, but market is low now.

Best in my opinion are the follow skills, glyphing and fishing witch includes cooking here. Best way it is if you not going for fast gold or so, more for yourself, its along way high.

P.S. regen gear is always good to have if you solo ;)

Yeah I play solo and regen gear is imho better than fishing - at least short term, long therm fishing probably wins. But how much time is invested is sth to be considered.

I agree most helpful is glyphing, which requires suff as well to extend glyph duration.

As far as muting goes, rerolling items helps you gather items (especially as Bufcore HC player).

Profit wise is imgo muting > fishing > glyphing

If your looking for quickest better fish, you only need to get to lvl 9.

Your tier 3 cod fish are better than they seem.

Your pulling down around 500 life/mana (cap at 600). They range from ~74 - 300 uncooked, so you can decided whats too low to stack.

Can still use at any level your character happens to be

I think everything really depends on what your goal is and how much time you are willing to spend on it. Glyphing is imo by far the best skill to go for if you solo a lot, having some extra stats/life/mana etc. is a game-changer and it's super quick to get to the point where you can at least do T3 items. Muting is also pretty good, but it takes an exceptional amount of time to get to the point where you are able to make any meaningful amount of fg from it. The good thing about it is that you can watch tv while you do it so it's nice and chill B)

Also, I'm honestly not sure if muting is more profitable than fishing/cooking. I'd say it's questionable at best, at least during the first 500 hours of doing it. After that, muting most likely overtakes it at some point.

Looking long term goal and considering time needed to lvl up skills significantly.

I am thinking like this ... suffusencing adds 20% EE per +1 and must be same tier as fish/glyph etc. That being said I doubt anyone suff fishes or glyphs with essences tier lets say VIII and above as it is better to use those to transmute items with new mods. Even magical ones. Heck, even tier VI (lvl 15) I would use to transmute items. Therefore suffucensing isnt an option to level for me long term.

Regarding fishing + cooking - 2 skills that are required for eatable fish output. Lets say for example you have 2 x set of life regen item and 2 x set of mana regen item. Lets say max regen for VIII and XII tier. Total 6 items, that covers your hp/mana regen totally, meanwhile you do lets say 1 mute in town. By the time you finihs muting you are full with HP/mana. And therefore I fing fishing/cooking also little useless.

Now glyphing is good, just harder to lvl - but usefull long term definitely. But for now I think I will focus only on muting.

All skills you can do while regen'ing in town and also get experience (level).

My first two choices are Fishing and Cooking ... you can collect these up and use when you need, it should not be too hard to get to like Rank 3 in both of these and just get Sardines & cook them up.

Other skills that I have noticed need "Essence", and you get that from Muting, so you could do that for the Suffering for the fish you cooked to increase the Life / Mana of each.

It is up to you how you want to spend your time, personally I don't like Glyphs, I try to be reliant on the gear I use, not the temporary effects from glyphs.

Again, up to you, good luck in your choice(s) in skilling.

afaik you don't regen while skilling, however it works like shrining in that a skilling attempt even fail recovers some life and mana.

I've started playing recently, and I found this approach best so far: (I play solo only)
I think it's a bad idea to just skill and not climb or play (unless you are already high level and just buy the items off mp to mute for example) because you miss out on the regen aspect, and it's very repetitive.
Instead, I create a list of items worth skilling in the respective categories, and do those.
Like currently I'm still limited to tier 1 items for glyphing, so I collect +5 stats and +1 magic luck tier 1's and glyph those to help at later levels or when I'm welling or fighting ep (I have weak gear).
I also suffusence these for longer duration.
I collect tier 2 angelic+ for muting, since it seems quite fast and gives a big chunk of hp back later on.
Whenever I need to regen I consume cooked fish until I'm full. If I'm out of fish I go fish and cook until full.
This gives me a lot of variety, aswell as giving the most bang for the buck with skilling, since I'm only doing items that give a lot of prof, use the results even from early levels, and use the regen it gives for completion.
I have regen gear too, but I dislike shrining because of the danger of shrining your items (in just a few days I shrined 35 lvl 70 ee armor, 10 regen sword) and also find it hard to price items correctly for marketplace, I'd rather just skill everything for personal use, but that's a long way away.
