So, been trying to do some fishing during these faster fishing events so I can stack up on fish for my solo journeys (or mana fish for my off cast climbs). I like the auto stack, and ive kinda gotten the hang of it. Except, can it be coded so that if your fish doesnt match the "x%" to make the main stack, it will auto stack into only ONE other stack per type of fish? As opposed of having your main stack of Cod (at whatever % you have it set for) and then any other cod of that type (life or mana or life/mana) be stacked into several different stacks like it is now. Can this be coded into the LS program? Is it fine just like it is? Does anyone even notice? Stay tuned folks.


Seriously tho. this is kind of like one of those can we split ess. stacks. Would be a nice QOL if you ask me. Maybe even able to split fish as well. What do yall think?



//Edit: this should also somehow involve once you make a max stack of fish, and it stacks to stack them elsewhere, they should start stacking together like normal, without having to move that stack out of your inventory.

Haven't fished in a long time, and I only remember stacking being set to one kind of % ... so I only stacked fish with 100%... mind you they were only sardines.

There will be a way to code stacking different types of fish by different % ... just need someone to do it.

Inventory management is imo the biggest pain when fishing, so yes an update to stacking logic could be a big QoL improvement for sure.

Your idea seems like the simplest improvement, where it's more of a stacking threshold and every fish either goes to the high or low stack.

Would be even better to have an option to set the % for every tier like Rex said, and maybe even an auto-trash setting for the fish below the threshold (and for all rare fish!). It gets way tougher to manage your stacks when you start fishing at higher levels...

But I guess what do I know, I don't even play this game :zzz:

I’d agree with this for QoL.
And an auto-trash for fish below the % stack thresholds.

Starting to experience having to empty my slots pretty often now.

Thank you everyone for your feedback so far. I hope to see more feedback on this topic so that maybe we can get it changed in the future if theres enough talk about it. Theres been alot of changes to this game, even just since ive been around for it. And thats a good thing. So hopefully we can get some more!

If you do the math correctly you can have multiple stacks and auto stack will work. Or work to some degree.
It is not ideal at all. Inventory management is why I quit fishing years ago. (Fishing messy enough on it's own without all my essences/glyphs in the way)

Would love to see "fish basket" that you set a range of fish to autostack into them.

Essence stack should be splitable yes.
Fish you get chance to restack when you peel them off the stack by cooking/suffing, but splitting would be nice.

Nice idea, think I have seen this posted before.

I just think Paul should just make the Stack size unlimited, BUT specify your stacks by Tier & % ... this should go with essence as well as fish ... never know, maybe have cooked / suff stacks unlimited.

You may have Rods, glyphs, comfreys on your character as you are playing.

Personally think Unlimited stack size would make it a LOT easier. As for unstacking Essences, I don't get this... aren't you already using 1 essence muting or glyphing from the stack?

EDIT: I already voted Yes btw, it helps make game run smoother, even for phone users maybe.
