Been browsing the trade topics, what kind of items or class is best for beginners? I've got a little bit of an idea how the game works from reading stickies. Played for a minute here at work and almost died 30sec into catacombs so figured I should buy some gear.

If you're absolutely new, I suggest you to buy some swords with enhanced effect and strength charms and some armors (except robes) with enhanced effect or strength.

Played some hours many years ago but nothing much. If I remember Someone a long time ago said to buy items for every 5 levels? I assume keep them for after you do that reset thing at 71

every 10 levels works fine. Save some fg that way.

Yeah, imo buy weapons like Tier III (lvl0), Tier IV, etc.
The max. Tier is XIV (lvl55).

If you can get weapons for every Tier (III+) that would be the best of course. :)

Depends on your budget. Ideally yes every 5 levels for weapons but items aren’t cheap

Typically level 0-20 gear is relatively cheap for decent ee. A good starting point would be getting weapons for the levels below:

15
20
25
35
45
55

And then fill in gaps as you earn fg. Same with enhanced effect armors (I recommend chains or plates with swords)

With str charm you only need 2 or 3 charms total to be efficient

Look for something with str and max life for low level then around level 25-30 try to find a str charm with around 30 str and then around level 55 look for a charm with 40ish str

Should be relatively cheap

Unless you have a lot of hidden forum gold from other games, then you can adjust what you’re looking for obviously :)

Thank you, definitely referencing all these posts tonight as I play, fg isn't an issue I just want to learn the game before I go nuts buying all the sweet things lol

I recommend opening a post in the trading forum with what you’re searching for. Sometimes items in the market are overpriced or sometimes there isn’t anything to pick from.

A lot of times older players are very generous in helping newer players when it comes to lower end gear. Might be able to pick up some sweet deals to get you going before you know exactly what you want to spend the big fg on :)

I'll do that thanks... Is 55 highest level for items? You just use lvl55 until 71... Seems like you'd get whooped on after a few levels lol

yeah 55 is highest level. And getting to 71 is easy, its when you go to 101 (for special events) that sucks lol
