welcome! The stickied guides are a great start, i think you should try and grind your first climb on your own, possibly with the assistance of someone else if you struggle. I see you made a SC char, just be warned if you die on sc you loose proficiency. the big difference between sc and hc being if you die on hc you not only loose your character permanantly, you loose the gear that was on it as well.

i see you have some fg, i would strongly suggest to look into bridgeable and multi class use gear. a rogue is a good class to start with. multi class gear in my opinion to look for would be; EE daggers and axes, EE padded robes and scales, padded robe dex, lightning or wild heal charms with dex, wild heal charm with ee.

If you wind up hitting warlock or alchemist a EE lightning set would benefit you. along with Padded robes and staves with +mana and Int.

again; welcome to LS, i hope to maybe see you on HC at some point :)

Yeah, welcome to LS

Keep rocking those daggers with dex gear.

Doing solo climbs to start can teach you the basics. Later can get in some group climbs for quicker mqs. Not many groups right now anyways. ^_^

Do you get to pick a class later or do you have to do certain things to unlock them?

you have your base feeder classes, and as you progress and gain a pass on your master quest you unlock the next tier. samaurai, paladin, monk, ninja, warlock, headhunter, and alchemist in that order.

feeder class master quest is at level 71

samaurai at 73

paladin at 75

monk at 77 ... and so on.

the gear you have for level 55 is in my opinion the most crucial in your climb as it has to last you all the way to master quest. look for high dex, or Enhanced Effect (EE) to help you. these level items are harder to find as they dont drop as often as the lower tiers. so with that may come with a heavy cost if purchasing.

So I solo. And I tend to lean towards helping people like me cuz I work odd hours and can never find a group. But I pay 25 per gp and I offer help in ladder slasher for my guild. I would like to make a crew we could organize climbs with
But if your just looking for a home and to get into ladder slasher check out guild Real.

If your more into speed climbs and just flying through the game there are tons of guilds looking.
Its a tight community. So most the people here are pretty solid.
I suggest just testing the waters and seeing who's cool
And who actually appreciated or you enjoyed slashing with.
Either way don't waste your guild points when u master quest lol
I'll pay you for them
