What is offcasting and which chars can offcast?

off casting is casting with any character beside mage warlock or alchemist

all classes can off cast however headhunter is the hardest to offcast with

Offcasting refers to casting on characters not normally intended for casting (Exclude Magician, Warlock, and Alchemist).

You can cast on all characters, it just depends how effective they are.
You see a spike of people shifting the meta to offcasting at the moment as they are consolidating their gear.

To be honest, in my opinion, unless you have great ee/mana and stat/mana gear just stick to melee instead of offcasting.
Other people will feel differently though.

I would not recommend trying to off cast on guardian, it gets pretty rough on your first wave of monsters.

Pretty much the basics to off caster.

A guardian will never be an off caster since they can not cast damage charms, but they are better off Melee/Heal or Melee/Tank build.

Most off casters are Paladin, Monk & Ninja... a Samurai is harder.

Off caster gear relates to +int Axe / Dagger / Sword in conjunction with Chain / Plate with Int etc, Normally, at low levels, you just stick with melee with these characters and mid to high level you switch to +Int gear... if you are lucky they have EE as well, or another stat like Dex or Strength.

Your stat placement becomes more of a factor instead of just Vitality or Int (caster related).

And they would be wrong!

can offcast all of them with the right gear ^^

but unless you truly invest into the gear; dont bother as youll be more of a hassle to groups than anything else

truly need, better int / mana gear to be effective to do so;

Just play your style man ,, I offcast every class, I even offcast the casters ;p

Sammy is my favorite offcast just cuz the gear I have fits best with him.....

But I mainly solo...

When group I would never offcast 1-35/40 melee then I would consider casting

So what abilities do you spec doing this? Caster abilities I assume? The first half of the climb you’re kinda useless this way

Useless is a strong word...feeder/sammy can at least tank
