It seems like Ladder slasher is no longer something the Entry - mid level player can enjoy. The trade market no longer caters to their needs as if your not trying to buy something for 2k or above FG no one has anything to sell and the guilds, while they advertise as being "active slashers", simply do not help the new and aspiring ladder slasher community leaving those players to falloff as they cannot hold their own and climb the ranks.

Hi mate!

Looks like you have already made it into a guild with LS players, so that’s a good step :)

Depending on what you are looking to get out of the game, I’d say there are multiple ways to enjoy it as a beginner. While really good gear is hard to come by, and indeed very expensive, this also leaves the beginner gear being really cheap!

I’ve seen (and sold myself) MQ gear at around 100ee for really nothing. This, a good attitude and not afk’ing etc while climbing should get you into some group climbs :)

I personally solo’d a lot when I returned, and bit by bit bought gear that made me helpful in group climbs. Given where the ladder is right now (many monks-warlocks) a decent tank is in my opinion fairly likely to be appreciated in a group climb :)

Best of luck!

I get that the idea behind this is sound, the execution is not. I've been searching for "beginner" gear for a few days now and not a single person has responded with my needs.
While I am able to solo (somewhat, takes me days to get to MQ level) it leaves a lot to be desired when I see people Mqing every hour or two.

As for the guild thing... I'm not looking to bash them, I'm sure they are a pretty tight knit group however I probably don't fit in well here. Most aren't as active as they appear and the ones who are are not really interested in Mqing.

the gear your searching for will show up. probably has charms you were looking for and typically sells cheap to the newer slashers

Like what was mentioned above, A good attitude and trying hard in group climbs is a big help. People are more than willing to help carry new guys in hopes they stick around and grow the community. I know has helped plenty of new players.
As for gear availability, it also doesn't help that when new players come in and they buy up that 100ee mid tier gear, they eventually abandon the game and pull those items from circulation.

The other factor here is time. It's taken me 5 years to get to a place I feel comfortable with my gear.
It's taken a lot of individuals over almost a decade to amass some of the gear they have.
Stick around for awhile, play other games to fund your LS gear, and just slowly grow and enjoy all the aspects of the game. Not everything is about MQing :)

E: Speaking from experience as a solo player from a non-LS guild over the years i've been playing.

45 and 55 ee scales are not super easy to find and can get pricey. Just keep looking gear takes time to get
your other search is for an me lite, should also be easy to find but when you say your max price is 800 fg it will limit your EE (should still get 120-130 for that price)
As far as your guild choice, they started in April and the leader is already posting a sellout topic...there are others that play more and would help
Its summer here and game seems to slow down this time of year also

GL in your endeavors, funny i pmd you 7 months ago about gear you must have had some decent stuff on your account :p
edit: Lites suck anyways, this is on mp for 1550
Angelic fire XIV, Spell Damage: 122 to 327, +144% Enhanced Effect, +2 Critical Strike, +1 to 7 Life per Attack, +2% Armor Pierce

i just want to point out that the last D2 ladder reset before Resurrected comes out was on Friday. im sure that pulled some people away from Ladder Slasher for a bit and you will see more people Slashing again over the next few weeks.
