If you die on hc do you just restart from lvl 1 on the same class or are you dead for good and gotta start over from scratch as one of the beginner classes?

Also, do you lose all your gear when you die on HC

Coming from someone with experience in the matter, you lose access to logging into the character, so everything they have is gone. Items, proficiently, etc.

You do get to keep them around as an inaccessible zombie if you wish, so there's that.

You lose the gear you have equipped/inventory and character.
