i just spent quite a bit of time battling an EP at level 68, i had to go to town and regen multiple times, and on what i thought was going to be my last regen i entered the cata and the ep was gone... is this pretty normal? is there a timer involved or whats up here?

Eps will never run from battle, or I have never had it happen to me at the very least.

Whilie You flee to town, something is happend on what you dont pay attention! Can be a mod on your equip on an emblem or glyph that reflects hits or you steal life or whatever and this is gives him the rest! Better luck on next mob/eps.

Did you leave the room while you were regenerating? check your chat logs, someone probably joined your game. and killed the Ep. people join random groups all the time if they see the leader is afk to look for wells.

Sometimes when you Exit catacomb to regen in a panic and the monsters hit points are very low, you may NOT see your final killing blow as you leave, thus you killed the monster, it may have dropped an item or more, but you did not see it happen.

I have done this on numerous occasions and screamed my head off, now I make sure when I regen on an EP that I switch to Healing charm before clicking the Door.

similar topic. is there an EP that kicks you back to town? twice now i have faced multiple EPs at once and killed one of them. then as im looking over the drops to see what to pick up and if i should drop something to make more room i get sent back to town. not disconnected from the server or anything just im suddenly back in town. so who can tell me why?

When you dont hit them you will auto town after a few seconds!

There is not. You are however sent to town after 5 rounds of combat if you don’t hit anything. It’s either that or they kill you, but I doubt anyone would be confused about being sent to town cause of a death
