the random evil presence that takes no melee damage is a sneaky yes? is it worth it to get someone to come kill him, or should i just remake the map?

Usually just remake the map unless you have someone readily available to kill it. No use in paying for a kill or waiting 10+ mins.

the vita reward can be nice when soloing

the two main reasons for getting him killed are for 7-15 vita (note that unlike points you put in as you level up, this does not work retroactively to add health) and so that he can't spawn again as it can be pretty frustrating to find him 3+ times on your way to MQ.

if you request for help remember to make the group with +/- 99 levels as i will usually bring a level 85 or so mage in to kill him when i'm assisting.

i usually find this kills my momentum though so in 90% of cases i will usually reset the map if i'm melee as i don't really need the extra vita, especially if i'm already level 60+ so won't get much health out of having him killed.
