im supposed to heal at least 1 life every time an attack hits if any of my gear has life per attack right? because unless im missing something its not working

If the attack kills a monster, you dont get the life per hit

not like per kill, life per attack. "+ Life per Attack For each attack that deals at least 1 damage, you will heal between 1 and this value life."

I'm pretty sure that you should be gaining at least 1 life per attack if you have any of it on your gear. It does however not give you any life when your hit kills a monster.

yeah that is what is supposed to happen but its not. does it have to do with using a map? being to high level for the area?

That might have something to do with it. I have never experienced that you don't gain at least 1 per hit.
