New(kinda) Suggestion- FLEX..inspired by an old topic from paul in which he suggested a similar idea -

Suggestion

Top 5 in every proficiency gets a bonus added.
Ex: Top 5 sword user gets 10% added damage when using swords
Top 5 Glypher gets 10% faster glyphing
ect..


This gives rewards for those who have dedicated so much time into the game, and gives others a challenge to work for

i would much prefer LP's idea where it's on the amount gained that season, if you've gained 20000 prof points and the next closest was 5000, then sure, would have an additional reward for the hard work. Would give people a reason to try extra hard for a season.
But to have some basically permanent bonus to the top prof? That's the entire point of prof isn't it?


dumped a hell no on it. If you really wanted to reward the top players then just increase the EE cap by 10 (for those who don't know, all damage/defense/healing is capped at max overspawn EE, i.e if you have a 65 ee tier 3 fire and 30 fire prof, it'll only count as 80ee, those tier I's with 100+ ee only work as 40ee)
I wouldnt be against a prof cap increase.

i get your take on it but i just thought that players with 10-20 MILLION kills or hundreds of hours skilling could get a little reward on top of prof



yea i get the idea, only give the bonus to the top active from each category. seems fine i just dont know how to code that

I had this planned since the beginning as well (even before proficiencies existed). The name I gave them was "ego boost". Basically, if you were the top person of X proficiency, you got a bonus in that skill (until someone became better than you). I have yet to implement this, but do plan on doing so some day.
