I read the little description on the ladder slasher guide but i'm not 100% confident in my understanding.

The accessory charm I have does not add to my strength but does it still give me life leech or really anything else? For example, on a melee character, what kind of accessory charm should I be searching for?

No stats except enhanced effect work in the accessory slot. Typically for a melee character you wouldn’t use one UNLESS you are soloing and using salvation for a mediocre heal as you take damage.

It’s a guardian ability but you can use the ability on any class.

The enhanced effect charm you use will take a 25% cut as well. So a 200ee would only be 150ish. It will also use less mana though.
