Ok, first of all: it's been a while, so hello!
Second, it's been a while and it's still like that, so probably it won't change (unless I'm a genius and njaguar has really not thought about that for so many years).
Nevertheless, here I am - sane or not (that freakin pandemic time is killing me) and thought that I'd share this...
So, I guess it's nothing new when I say that LS is not much about trading and all the best items are kept by leading guilds, BUT
- people are still selling something worthy, right?
The only problem is that all those nice items which are for sale are not on the MP.
Why? For sure one of the reasons is that upfront fee. The second (but actually the first) would be the fact, that there are not enough players, so there is no point to place an item, pay the fee and have it expired, right?
So, why not have it the way where we can place more items for better prices (more items overall!) and not worry that they will find no buyer and expire?
How about we place our item over and over again and the buyer finally shows up, buys the item for the full price and nice fee is being paid?
How about any time we check MP we see something interesting, something for a different (bigger) price than 19.99 fg?
I find that upfront fee as the final nail in the coffin for the MP. Pretty much none of us will put all the items on the MP, because we know that it's better to find a buyer first and once the buyer is found we often sell it for 1 fg to avoid paying the fee.
If we don't need to worry about the upfront fee, we will be more willing to put more items for bigger prices on the MP. I think that should work way better for njaguar too.
(Just in case / tl;dr version: fee would still apply, but after the item is sold)
