Hi guys, how is the dmg calculated for weapons? does 50/50 for axe mean if dex/str are same you get max dmg output?
i suppose due to diminishing returns you need to indeed get both high instead of just one of them.
any analysis done on this - like a table at different str/dex levels per weapon?

yes

edit:

from my understanding, axe is the worse weapon in term of average damage, because it gets only half the dmg increase from both dex and str, and dagger/clubs are the best weapons for average damage because they both get 90% dmg from their respective attributes. I think 1 stat is believed to be like 1ee on the weapon, so with an axe 10str or 10dex would be 5ee and on a dagger 10dex would be like 9ee, because of the 0.5 and 0.9 multipliers

if i understand correctly, youd get the same damage boost while using an axe and 100stat combined str and dex on your gear as you would with a dagger with only around 55dex on your gear... if im right that makes axe very poor in term of average damage. Their damage is more reliable tho because the difference between the min dmg and max dmg is super small compared to swords or clubs wich have the biggest range lol. but Yeah axe just seem worse than all the other weapons overall but i think they are still very expensive because they can be used by alot of different classes AND the headhunter can ONLY use axes or lightning charms, and they have terrible base int so you pretty much HAVE to have an axe set if you ever plan to reach headhunter class and attempt going for alchemist...

For axes, Dexterity and strength both yield the same amount of damage.

even if starting point is uneven? like 100 dex 10 str?
so in this case 1dex = 1 str still?

yes

other than that the exact effect of str/dex with ratios on weapon damage is unknown.
At least it is not as simple as 50% or strength and 50% of dex goes into the formular for axes for example

:rofl: I don't know the answer to his question, but all I can say is;

With axes, you will gain the same damage whether you have 100str + 20dex vs 20str + 100dex.
Note: if you do NOT have a full set of axes, and you use a Sword to fill a spot in the set, you should only concentrate on adding to Strength because of the 75 str to 25 dex ratio... thus adding to strength will be better for that sword.

EDIT: if using a Rogue and you have a Dagger (instead of a sword) to fill a spot for your axes, then do the reverse... add points to dexterity.
